Today, I really didn’t know what to write about. Oh how I wish I was that extremely organized type that would have my list of things for this prayer challenge, but instead I base the prayer prompts on what I’ve got going on or what’s on my heart. While I am aspiring to do better with organizing myself with writing (thanks to coaching skills I’ve learned), I am still a work in progress.
So for this week, I’m dragging my feet with the post. I’ve had a busy week and some unforeseen stressors come my way. As I am trying my best to take it all in stride and being mindful to keep praying about it, the motivation for this prayer challenge is dwindling. With that in mind, the prayer to not lose heart is at the top of my list today.
So for this week, I am praying for strength to continue with the prayer challenge and I’m being gentle with myself about my journal notes for the past week’s prayer prompt. My hope and plan is that I will have another post later this weeks to discuss last week’s prayer prompt.
Do you have anything you are struggling with and need motivation to not lose heart or do you know someone who is struggling and needs prayers to not lose heart? This week’s prayer prompt, pray for strength to not lose heart for good works or pray for someone to not lose heart in their life.
Prayer Journal Questions/Notes – Week 6
What are some ways that I can help myself to not lose heart during times of struggle?
Verses to keep me motivated.
“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith.” Galatians 6:9
“Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:16-18
